The art of traveling through the historic towns of BCS Being called "Historic Town" aims to recognize, rescue, and preserve the sites where historical acts occurred. Baja California Sur is a land that offers unexplored corners, it has eight historic towns, and places with a past of momentous events and magic that give way to a great opportunity to explore the cultural and historical sense of the destination. Here is a list of the historic towns that we recommend you visit: • San Ignacio San Ignacio has a colonial mission from the 18th century, created by the Jesuit missionaries in the land of the Cochimí natives. • Santa Rosalía Legend has it that the church of Santa Bárbara, within the town of Santa Rosalía, was designed by Gustav Eiffel, yes, the same one who made the Eiffel Tower in Paris.
